Could Watchtower Collapse Be Sooner Than You Think?
by metatron inthere have been a number of developments over the past few months and they paint an interesting picture.. witnesses can keep dragging themselves to meetings ad infinitum however, the future of the watchtower itself is another story.
the evidence of continuing cash flow problems is now overwhelming.
if you talk to well placed witnesses, most won't deny it but simply blame it on the publishers financial problems.. they have cut off loans to congregations many of whom genuinely need new kingdom halls.

I actually think that a big expansion is in the making myself. The drama this year focused on parents helping their youth with interactive family studies, get-togethers, etc. If the congos actually apply all that, the real love will come, and many, many will be attracted. The dates don't seem so important now, which is a big plus. And the "Keep Yourself in God's Love" book being used in the Bible Study mid-week meeting is helping us to think and reason things out for ourselves regarding conscience matters. The "blood" issue is in its first/ second week of being discussed, and the weeks to come will be very helpful regarding the "fractions" issue, etc. The meetings are becoming much more practical, and more enjoyable in my honest opinion. But then, I come to each meeting with my meeting bag full of all the text books required, such as the Organized book, Teach book, Bible, Song book, notebook, SI book, Guidebook, etc. The notes I take often assist me with preparation for conversations here on JWN, such as this one.

Cadellin, you mention the Creation and Evolution book having a lot of misquotes? My experience with JWs all started when I prayed that the JWs would ask "Are you interested in the issue of Evolution and Creation?", which is exactly how the call (that was actually marked DNC from the week before) was started! I had a friend that was taking remedial high school and he wanted something to argue Creation against his Evolution teacher.

maybe you could move in with the Grandma in exchange for helping around the house, etc. But, you've probably thought of that. So, I must be missing part of the picture. No doubt. By the way, I went to all of my DC, just went to a more secluded part of the stadium where there are tables and a look out the windows. Took notes. Kept to myself. A couple I knew from before just watched my stuff while I went to the washroom. I watched their stuff while they were away. Just ordinary business conversation, say could you watch my stuff while I use the washroom? That was all there was to it. Just saying I'm disfellowshipped while making eye contact, and then immediately looking away, ignoring the crowds, and minding my own business. It works for me. I wish you all the best, DC and all. I keep up my routine for my relationship with Jehovah. I'm mellowing and putting what I can into practice on JWN. Staying involved here keeps me away from what was causing me problems before.

Interesting how you still identify yourself as a JW. As for me, [Spike Tassel] is NOT one of Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm still at all the meetings I can get to, regularly sing my heartfelt appreciation to every song I can.

when you found out about things regarding the wts, maybe on the internet, on this side or another, or you had serious doubts by yourself, did you talk to somebody ?
maybe an elder or a good friend ?.

inbetween, I suggest you ask your questions here and not at the KH. We're to "carry our own load", they say, even if we don't know how too. This week's Bible study said so. This clearly is unfair, the way I see it. But, if you argue with them about, they just won't get it. So, it's best to be safe, and peaceable.

it's a loophole....jehovah is of course protecting his servants but when one of his pioneers or elders is hit by a runaway car and killed it was just...."time and unforseen occurence...".
yes jehovah will look out for you if you pray to him, but.....the "time and unforseen occurence" clause may still get you in the end!.

Sometimes moving just compunds the situation, rather than simplify it. Moving costs aren't just in $ and ¢, or in £, or €, or ¥, or other type of ¤ [currency]. Friends, spiritual help, known community, are all important in making good decisions. Part of it is "the devil you know versus the devil you don't", in my honest opinion.
We need to understand our motives for doing things.
